    Dr Mikhaeel undertook specialist clinical oncology training across London, at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, University College London, and Mount Vernon Hospital. In 2001 he was appointed as a consultant. He treats lymphoma and colorectal cancer with both chemotherapy and radiotherapy, separately or as combination chemorad.

    Dr Mikhaeel is rare in using chemorad for lymphoma patients, and he specialises in advanced radiotherapy techniques for lymphoma, including image guided intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). He is also involved in research into advanced radiotherapy technology, as well as into the use of PET scanning to predict prognosis for lymphoma patients and tailor treatment to the need of the individual. Dr Mikhaeel has published and presented widely on this topic.
